Murray Winder - Principal, FCA CPP

Murray, the Worry Minder, practised in Riccarton prior to the merger with Marriotts in 2000, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of New Zealand.

Proudly a Baby Boomer, Murray is a superannuitant, a father, a grandfather, he's got 40 year old kids, and unashamedly has been married (to the same woman, Leslie) for 44 years.

Murray is perfectly qualified to do what he does at Marriotts.  He empathises with Baby Boomers who are reaching a stage in their lives where perhaps it's time to have a raincheck, a WOF, if you like. of their personal affairs.  Is the present regime of "bits of paper", strategies, ambitions, set up in the past, still appropriate for the next 20-25 years.

Murray's experience includes the setting up of a national chain of motels, Golden Chain, and is a Senator of NZ Jaycee.  Murray is an expert in governance and matters organisational in business, leisure, and church administration.

In the 70's, Murray and wife Leslie, operated a substantial entertainment agency culminating in the organising of the music entertainment for the 1974 Commonwealth Games.

What has this to do with chartered accountancy? - it demonstrates a wide business experience over a long period of time.
